Surprisingly, I do not mean West Virginia, although that is their motto. I’m spending the morning at the public library in Rapid City, SD. And it really is lovely. Books everywhere. Only the subdued sound of pages turning, and the occasional low whisper. Beautiful!
I brought my kids, too, since the library has an awesome children’s section, complete with a small aviary, computers, chess and checkers sets, and of course, a zillion books.
Ok, I’m not sure how or when my kids learned to play chess, because I sure didn’t teach them! :)
For the ones who don’t care to play chess, there are plenty of other things to do – like read!
What is your idea of almost heaven?
Hmmmm. . . not sure about my "almost heaven", but I adore Daniel's shirt! I'm guessing that's his favorite question??? :o)
ReplyDeleteHe does love that shirt! It actually used to be Josiah's shirt. We had one for Josiah, Abigail, and Esther at one time. Thought it was quite funny and appropriate for an evangelist's kids! It is the only one that still fits anyone. :)

ReplyDeleteThis is almost heaven for me also. Even more heavenly is sitting in my scrapbook room with ALL the Guatemala pictures working on my latest trip!!! HINT! HINT!
ReplyDeleteNever fear. The pictures are on the way. I can hardly wait to see the page of you riding the horse! Mwahahahahaa!
